Augusta Savage, Art Village Gallery

Join AVG for a private bus tour to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens for a reception & showing of their 2020 winter exhibitions!

On view will be Augusta Savage's current exhibition titled, Renaissance Woman. Augusta Savage (1892 - 1962) was an African-American sculptor associated with the Harlem Renaissance. She was also a teacher whose studio was important to the careers of a generation of artists who would become nationally known. She worked for equal rights for African Americans in the arts.

Mark your calendar to leave work a little early and arrive to Art Village Gallery, 410 S Main Street, Memphis, TN before 6:00 pm. Enjoy a glass of champagne to wind down before departing.
